Bookworm

Last night I bought a copy of Twilight by Stephenie Meyer because the hold list for this book at my library is really really long. I stayed up until two in the morning reading it and I am still not done, but it is so good!!!! This is the first book in the series and even though it is technically young adult, it's written in such a way, that it is ageless. There are two others out so far, but I am making myself wait until Pay Day to buy them. I was planning on reading them on the way to Iowa in a week or so, but I am devouring the first book and wouldn't be surprised if I have read them all before I leave.

Since our lawn is now nicely mowed, I was able to go out and do lovely yardwork. My sister gets to hold the trash bag because she is not good with the hedge clippers. The rose bushes were getting too tall again and this mystery fine with pepper like objects hanging off of it was growing in our overgrown evergreen tree. The yard looks a little more presentable now too. We also filled up the ol' Subaru with our recycling. This is definitely worth the trouble of driving over to the drop off boxes because we save so many trash bags and it's reducing our footprint on Mother Earth. It's odd because I did all these chores today, but I don't feel like I have accomplished much.

I have squeezed a little crochet work on Baby L's blankie today. I haven't worked on it much today. I have a good excuse though, I was making something for my Secret Pal that I am in charge of spoiling. I made her a little ribbon bound book with little quotes and fun facts. I think it turned out really cool.

Elizabeth Gilbert, the author of Eat, Pray, Love was on Oprah last night. I loved her book and she is just as endearing in interviews. Normally, I don't like to watch Oprah, but if she has an author on that I like, then I will watch her show during the late night repeat showing on our tv.

I did go to the library this morning too. But I only checked out two books, which is really low for me. I blame on the fact that I am reading a bunch of books my sister bought this past Spring that neither one of us has gotten around to reading. All I need are books, yarn and music.

EDIT: I just finished skein three! Skein 4 has been added on. This blanket is turning out to be a hell of a lot bigger than I wanted it to be, yet again, but I think it will end up turning out good in the end.
