I'm Lovin It

Hello ya'll, I'm out in SC now. I had to rip back the Slouchy Purse to the third row because of a fatal error where I didn't crochet in the turn row, so I ended up with a ragged edge on one side. So I started over from row three and now I'm back on track. I love my parent's new house and everything is so green out here. You leave the subdivision and you are right at Target and Michaels and Linens n Things and Books a Million. There is a bunch of other stuff that is really close by. Tomorrow we are going to a baseball game. YAY!!! I can't wait--I haven't been to a real baseball game in years, so this will be a lot of fun.

While i was at Books A Million, I picked up a copy of 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson and a copy of the new issue of Seventeen. It had a big feature on cycle 8 of America's Next Top Model. I also bought paperclips in the shape of little dog bones. they are so cute.

It was 91 today and really sunny. I realized in the Target parking lot how pale I am right now. I am really going to have to layer on the sunscreen when we go to the ball game.

Tomorrow Mom and I are going on a yarn crawl. I found three places locally and mom has been to one of them already and liked it. I am totally stoked.

Weddings, Crochet and the big trip

I made it back from the wedding this morning. I left around 8am even though I didn't have to because I have three loads of laundry that i need to do ASAP so that I will have clean clothes to wear in SC. I have my last load in the washer now. I am really tired because M and I stayed up until 3 am watching movies after we got back from the wedding. We watched Catch and Release, Running with Scissors and Stranger than Fiction. All three were very excellent.

Even though it rained for most of the day on saturday, the sun shone through long enough for S and J to have their wedding outdoors as planned. the area was inhabited by abnormally large mosquitoes. I have severe allergic reactions to mosquito bites where my body will swell up and I will break out in nasty hives. I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT DIDN"T HAVE ANY MOSQUITO BITES!!! How is this possible? I owe it all to my khaki long sleeved suit of armor and the fact that I secretly doused myself in Avon Skin so Soft bug spray before putting my suit on. The avon stuff is the only thing that works for me. everyone else was spraying themselves with OFF and other pseudo-pesticides and they all had these nasty bites by the time we got to the I Do part. the reception was fun. there was a non-alcholic pina colada machine and some scary party dancing going on. The food and the cake were excellent. the punch was kinda yucky because it was OJ and some type of Sprite and that combo only tastes good with vodka, otherwise you might as well be drinking plain OJ.

The bride looked beautiful and I have a good feeling that this couple will last forever. It is obvious how much they love and respect each other. Sniff sniff.

I added a couple of rows onto the mitered dishcloth and the Slouchy purse, but all this traveling has kinda slowed down progress in my land of crochet. I promise to report significant progress this week.

I am taking my Mac with me on vay-cay tomorrow so i hope to have updates for ya'll. I have no idea what I will be doing while I am in SC but I know it will be fun and there will be crafts involved.

Wired

I really should go to bed because I have to get up so early to be at work but I feel wired now. I probably should not take a hot shower before bed. We received a box from my mom today. She mailed the presents to us so that I would have more room in my suitcase and so that my sister wouldn't feel left out since she doesn't get to visit them until August because of her schedule. My jaw dropped though because she included two skeins of Plymouth Boku in this colorway that has deep purples, navy and teals mixed together. LOVE IT!!! I have been spoiled rotten this week with yarn from my SP10 and my Mom.

I came home from eating dinner with the engineering interns and my sister had cleaned up her pigsty. I about died of shock. We will see how long this lasts. I know when I make it back from my trip, it will be a mess again. We're like Felix and Oscar.

My copy of The Bermudez Triangle came today. I read it from start to finish tonight after dinner. It was written by Maureen Johnson and it is a really good read. I like her literary voice and I plan on reading her other books. I also finished Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. I thought it was appropriate that i finished reading her book about her adventures right before I embark on one of my own.

Sunshine, remind me to tell you about dinner with the engineering interns. IT WAS SPECIAL!!!

I will try to post while I am on vacation but a lot of that depends on what activities my folks have planned. I am sure there will be lots of yarn adventures.

Smelly Kitchen Disasters

It was nine o'clock last night and my sister had just ate a heaping bowl of stinky ass tuna and left the bowl with little tuna bits stinking up the place. I did two heaping sinks full of dishes on Friday before I left for Wichita and when I came back the damn sink was full again Sunday night and we had like three clean bath towels. My sister is a total pig. Somedays i am not sure how we live together. Anyways, I was running the water to soak them in and the side with the garbage disposal started to back-up and spew chunks of hard pretzels and cigarette butts!! Yet another gift from the previous renters. So I plunged it down and then my sister took a turn and the water filled up the dishwasher and started spewing out. We ended up calling the landlord and he came out and unclogged the sink while we were at work this morning. He is coming back tomorrow morning to run the dishwasher and make sure that all works. We hadn't ran the dishwasher because of the big sewer incident a few weeks ago. This is one of the perks of living in an older home. This house was built in the 50s and I am almost certain that all the plumbing is original. Our kitchen smells like stale barf.

In other news, my sister and I found Dr. Pepper on sale at Kmart for $2.25 a 12 pack!!!!! How sweet is that! I also bought a copy of Elizabeth Gilbert's book Eat Pray Love. I had seen this book on the shelves and drawn to the cover, but I wasn't sure if I would like it or not. I finally decided to buy it and I am really glad I did. Basically it is a memoir of a writer who is just went through a messy divorce and was basically questioning who she was and what her purpose was in life. She decides to take a year off and visit Italy, India and Indonesia. I can hardly put this book down. I keep reading it during the commerical breaks for Dancing with the Stars. I think I feel so connected to this book because I am a spot in my life where I have to make the big decisions about where to live and where I want to work and when I can have a little Yorkie of my own.

My little Shuffle has made commuting and life in the cubicle farm a lot better. Teeny tiny just like a quarter! The battery really lasts too, so I am happy about that. I heart Apple.

Mail Call

Today I came home to a surprise from my Secret Pal 10. She sent me an apple butter gel candle that smells really good and a Merino hat kit from Morehouse Farms!!! Yay, i am so excited because I have always wanted to try this brand of yarn, but there aren't any places locally that sell it. It is shades of dark red, browns and golds. It's prettier than I can describe.

My mom mailed a package out to us this weekend. I am curious to see what she sent. She said she mailed it to us so that I would have room in my suitcase for souvenirs. i thought that was cute.

Work is boring as hell. I think the main reason why it is dragging is because everyone else is preparing for closing week and I am about to go on a week long vacation. I am trying to figure out how much yarn I can pack and still have room for clothes. Yarn weighs lighter than books. Lol. Mom says that she has stocked up on mac and cheese. thank the lord, because my poor stomach can't handle any more specialty food.

I forgot to mention that while I was at BN, I bought How Sassy Changed My Life. I miss Sassy Magazine and this book is a great tribute. I always had to read Sassy magazine at O's house because my mom felt that it was a little mature for a middle schooler to read. O's mom had never read an issue otherwise she would've banned it too because she was a very strict Christian and definitely would not have approved. the Kurt and Courtney issue was my favorite. that was the issue that started my love affair with Nirvana and the Seattle grunge scene.

where do I begin?

This weekend was CRAZY!!!! So crazy, that I can't post about some of it because this is still the internet after all. I must protect the guilty.

I am now the extremely proud owner of a 1 GB HOT PINK IPOD SHUFFLE. I named her Meredith after my favorite character on Grey's Anatomy. She kept me company during this wacky weekend and will acompany me on my trips to come. I needed something small and portable that I could take when I am mini golfing and going on walks around the giant duck pond. I do still plan on getting the video ipod but that will be in July. My shuffle is the tiny square shaped one. It is like the size of a quarter, seriously.

Then there was the bachelorette party. wow. um, yeah, I can't go into details on the internet, but I did promise Sunshine that I would tell him all the stories when I come visit in a couple of weeks.

The next day, I got up at the o dark early to drive up to central Kansas for the Bachelorette Party. I got to M's apartment complex about 9 am. We left to go shopping with M grumbling all the way. We went to Super Target, World Market, Barnes and Noble, Gordman's and a novelty store. We also ate lunch at Taco Shop which is a local taco chain that makes crunchy tacos that are not greasy. We bought a wedding gift for S and JG and I did manage to find one book that I was looking for at BN.

You will just have to leave the rest of the details up to your imagination. I saw 6 cops on my three hour drive home and three different gas prices that had a 20 cent difference between each of them.

I really did have a decent weekend. There was a lot of highs and lows. Definitely some moments that I won't forget.

To save the best for last, I did start a mitered crochet dishcloth out of Sugar and Cream in turquoise and white. It is turning out pretty cool, I have never attempted a mitered pattern before, but I think it looks pretty good for my first attempt.I didn't bring the purse with me because it is wool and I didn't want to pick cat hair off of it for the next year. M still hasn't vaccumed. The cat hair was so bad I had to use nasal spray constantly and you would have thought ten cats were living in her apartmen instead of one.

I almost forgot. Martha Stewart has craft kits at Michaels. I about squeed in the store when I saw them on the end cap. I got her charm bracelet kit that I am going to make during arts and craft time with my mommy when I am there in a week or so. I wanted to buy them all, but I limited myself to just one. i don't know if other stores carry them, cause I found them by accident.

Song of the Day: Whiskey in the Jar performed by Metallica. I felt that I should choose a booze song for this post. It is fitting.

All of It

Is there no longer any happy endings? Does true love really exist? You would ask those questions if you had watched Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy tonight. That is all I am going to say about that.

I am on row 24 on the Slouchy Purse. There are 35 total. I am getting really close. I could possibly even finish the body this weekend. I'm not sure what my next project will be once I finish this.

I'm annoyed with work right now. everyone I work with except for one person is at least twenty years older than me and they are fighting amongst themselves over the most stupid things. I am working on some great projects but when you are surrounded by bitchfests, it makes you wish that you could just work from home.

This weekend is going to be very interesting. I don't remember the last time I went to a party. Lol...I"m just not a person that really likes big groups and I have no idea who is going to be at this bachelorette party except for S the bride and M. I am still considering bringing my crochet because since S taught me how to crochet, I could possibly get away with it. One time my friends through me a birthday party and some of them were mad because I read a book for the majority of the party. hey, i was having fun reading the book. I'm not a hermit, I'm just picky about who I socialize with. Speaking of books, I am going to BN this weekend. I am making M take me. That was one of my justifications for driving up there two weekends in a row when gas is like a million dollars a gallon.

I washed my new jeans tonight and stuck them in the dryer and I put them on and they are not tight!!! Perfect fit on day one of wearing them. Somehow, I have managed to loose a couple of pounds. I am not sure how other then I am drinking a lot less pop, and I walk more but I'm not really trying that hard.

Anyways, I am kind of tired. I probably won't post again until I get back from the big trip. I know I will have stories.

Parts and Parties

Today I got to work at 5:30 am so I could assist in an inventory audit. We didn't finish until 10 am. On the plus, side I got to leave work earlier than I typically would because I am hourly.

I am going to a friend's wedding over Memorial Day weekend and this friend sent me an email last night inviting me to her bachlorette party this weekend. I am a little miffed because that is very last minute and it would require driving up there two weekends in a row, but the other part of me is like I don't have anything better going on. It's a hotel party, so I could just hang out and crochet. LOL...That would be awesome. I have major issues with just sitting still. I have to be doing something.

Sniff Sniff. Tonight is the Gilmore Girls Series Finale. i am really going to miss that show.

UPDATE: So the GG finale was probably the best episodes of the season. I am glad to see that the series finale actually did the characters some justice. I decided to drive up for the bachelorette party but I will drive up Saturday morning. M and I are going to get the wedding gift, bachelorette party gift and try to find me a damn dress to wear. That could be interesting.

I have made no progress on the Slouchy Purse. i bought Music and Lyrics on dvd (staring the lushcious and feisty Hugh Grant) and with this being season finale, there is just no way I can watch all of that and expect to have my rows turn correctly.

A-dolly received her afghan yesterday and absolutely loves it, so mission accomplished.

Farewell my Router

My router that we have only had since early February when we moved into the little house died yesterday afternoon. The cable guy thinks that all the recent storms probably fried it but it has been sunny since Friday so we didn't think that. However when the little power light won't light up irregardless of what you reset, un plug or turn off, that's your sign. So this afternoon, we headed south to the geek mecca of Best Buy. We have to get the special router that is wireless and hooks up directly into the cable because we didn't want to mess with 500 devices to hook together. Anyways, $162 later and one phone call to the cable company we were back on the internet. It is my connection to the world, my friends, my songs, my shows, and I will not give it up. It is my one thing. Besides, my sister and I have online classes starting soon so we needed to fix this problem fast. I saved the receipt so if this one dies we are taking the damn thing back to the store. the receipt for the one that died is probably somewhere out East with my parents.

Anyhoo, since I was disconnected half the weekend, I made lots of progress on Slouchy Purse. I completed row 19 today. YAY!!!! I will certainly have this ready for my mommy to help assemble when I fly out to see her. Today is her 27th Mother's Day. Yay for the lady that taught me how to be crafty and that I can be anyone I want to be and do anything I want to (within the boundaries of the law that is).

A feral cat crapped in our front flower planter thing by our front door and tore up a couple of marigold sprouts. Cat shit really smells bad in 90 degree weather.

I checked out some more books from the Libary. One of them is really exciting, it's called Music Lust and is the Music version of the Book Lust series. I am also reading Martha Stewart's Homekeeping Handbook. It is so neat. I am going to order a copy of this book this summer cause it tells you how to do everything house related and Martha is my homegirl. The last book I checked out was The Knitting Experience: The Purl Stitch. My SP 10 had sent me a copy of the first one in the series and I liked it so much that I decided I checked out the next one in the series. The Purl Stitch book is just as awesome and there are little Yorkies featured in the pictures of the knit wear so this book gets extra brownie points.

I also bought the new issues of Knit 1 (the green issue) and Interweave Knits. Good issues but Craft magazine and Interweave Crochet have probably been my most useful magazine purchases this year. I will admit that I bought the summer issue of Seventeen. They have good music playlists and the clothes and accessories that they feature in their magazine are affordable stuff you could actually find at a regular mall. Lol. did I mention that I watched the season 8 marathon of America's Next Top Model yesterday?

Song of the day: The Story by Brandi Carlile. This song is so awesome. I love her vocal range. i discovered her because I was watching the VH1 Top twenty countdown this morning. This song was also on a recent episode of Grey's Anatomy, but I didn't really feel the full impact of the song until I heard the full song on VH1.

Hooks up!

The Finish Line

I am very happy to report that I finished the big afghan Wednesday night. Yay!!!! The border is complete and I wove the ends in as i went so I didn't have any finishing work to do. I took pics and tomorrow i will take it over to my friends at the UPS store so that they can send it up north for the birthday girl. It will be bittersweet because this is the largest project I've completed to date.

Grades posted and unfortunately I did not flunk out of school. In fact i got straight As. I have no idea how I pulled that off with all of the disasters and drama this semester. I got my summer tuition bill and it is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

Since I still have no social life until the end of this month, I am very excited to start working on The Slouchy Purse. This pattern is in Interweave Crochet Spring 2007 and was designed by the Crochet Dude. I am using two skeins of Lamb's Pride Worsted in Chianti and my new size H Addi hook. I am spoiled. I can't use the other hooks now that I have discovered the Addi ones. I started this project last night while watching Ugly Betty and I am already on row 7. It's basically a ribbing pattern and once I reminded myself to do stitches other than the half double I had been doing for the last two months, it took off fast. The color looks great and I am excited to be working with wool and not acrylic. Acrylic has a time and a place but I don't use it any more if it's a project for me. My goal is to finish the base so that I can have my Mom help me with attaching the handle and sewing the lining in. Sewing the lining in makes a great finished project but it is a bitch to do right with out having puckers in the fabric.

Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy were awesome last night. I would like the writers to cut my poor Meredith a break. The poor girl has been enough. This weekend I have three Gilmore Girls tapes that I missed to catch up before I watch the series finale on Tuesday. I am so sad about the series finale. There is nothing like that show out there and I can't wait until Season 7 comes out on dvd.

EVENING UPDATE:

My ex-boyfriend, the jackass from FOUR YEARS AGO that cheated on me with a seventeen year old when I was twenty two and he was twenty five messaged me on yahoo, wanting to catch up with me! THE NERVE!!! He did half ass apologize this evening but I made it pretty damn clear that I am a strong financially independent woman that doesn't want to reconnect with him. I tried to convey this in the most polite manner but I have this policy of not dating exes. I did that once and I learned my lesson. Generally speaking, there is a pretty damn good reason why it didn't work out the first time. I'm still really surprised about the whole thing because I just popped on my messenger to see if I had any e-mail.

Other than this minor disruption, I am having a nice evening. My sister and I went to Pizza Hut because that was always my reward growing up for getting good grades. Lol. Family traditions are nice sometimes. I talked to my parents. They celebrated thirty two years of marriage yesterday and had squid for dinner (cooked in calamari style). Yuck. they liked it though so that is what matters. I would celebrate with penne covered in tomato vodka sauce instead.

Boxes Galore

I received my last two purchases from ebay today. The first box contained the first five BSC specials books. Box two was the vintage Barbie Learn to Knit Kit from the 60s. Complete with plastic knitting needles, instructions and acrylic yarn (Paton's Canadiana). the yarn is really musty but that is typical of yarn from the 60s. Like almost knocks you over smell. I might have to consult my mom on what to do about the smell. I was mostly interested in the canister (original good condition) and the patterns.

I have one more row to complete on the border for A-dolly's afghan. There is three rows of half double crochet in the border, one for every year of her life. I'm really stoked that it's going to be done in plenty of time to mail it to Iowa for her birthday but I'm kind of sad in a way that it is done. I've been working on this since my half birthday which was March 25th.

there is still a lot of rain going on. I am getting totally crap gas mileage this week because of it too. Boo hoo. My short cut to work is washed out so bad right now that they had to put up road blocks at all the entrances from the highway.

I get to watch America's Next Top Model tonight and I'm stoked because there is supposed to be some cat fights going on tonight...LOL. My sister is to blame for getting me hooked on this show because they have marathons on the weekends a lot on VH1 and mTV.

Sweet, sappy song of the day: I'll Wait For You - Joe Nichols

Row Row Row Your Boat

Last night we had this massive thunderstorm and so much rain. I drove to work this morning and there was so much water on the highways. Driving 45 minutes in the pouring rain is not fun because I kept having to switch lanes to avoid standing water and then there was lots of lightening. When I got into town the parking lot of the local Wal-mart was flooded because it was kind of built on a flood plain. I'm really glad that the rain stopped mid morning because otherwise i would have had to rowed a boat home like Lewis and Clark style.

I attended two very extremely boring meetings today. Unfortunately, i wasn't running the meetings otherwise they would have been like 15 minutes each instead of an hour each.

I have no idea how much progress i made on the afghan tonight. The skein is almost empty and so I will probably put the last skein of the main color on tomorrow night. I think I'm going to make my deadline.

Music and Lyrics comes out tomorrow on DVD and I am very excited. Hugh Grant is naughty hot. He throws baked beans at the paparazzi. That takes a lot of gumption. Plus, it is a music movie and I really want to see it because i didn't get to see it in the theater because it was during the beginning of the semester and we were wrapping up our financial audit. I also want to see Spidey 3. Spidey and the original Wonder Woman are my favorite comic book characters.

Rockin in the Rain

Welcome to Spring/Summer in Oklahoma. We are in the midst of another severe thunderstorm and earlier we were under a tornado watch. My only problem with this weather is that I don't like hail because it can turn your car into cottage cheese and I have to park outside now. Knock on wood no hail yet. Sunshine, if you are reading this please stop doing your twister dance and send me a smoke signal instead.

On the plus side, I am moving full steam ahead on this afghan. I would really like to be able to put the border on this weekend and so I can finish it and ship it off to A-dolly in time for her birthday. I had to dust off my old school heavy metal cds and load them onto my ipod in preparation for this task. Yes, I love heavy metal and hard rock, I have a secret passion for 70s glam rock too. LOL...Anyways, the skein I am currently using is half empty. I have one more skein left and then I will have used up all the yarn accumulated for this project and it will be finished. Then I will do two to three rows of single crochet around the edge as a border using the colors in the variegated yarn. It will be cool. I can't believe I'm going to be finishing such a huge project. It's so big I have to take it to the UPS Store to have them professionally mail it. It's my first afghan so I want it to arrive in Iowa in one piece and I don't have any boxes big enough here to mail it.

I am actually in a pretty good mood today and I'm not sure why. I was thinking a lot this weekend about life in general. I'm a little lonely because I miss my family and my close friends but it's not a permanent thing. I would be more concerned if I didn't miss them. I'm trying to invent new forms of entertainment since my school and workload has now dropped now to normal levels. I went back to drinking water this weekend. I had a minor relapse during finals/closing week but I still drank way less Mountain Dew and other pop then I normally do. I have decided that Evian is my favorite bottled water cause it has a cool clean aftertaste. I have tried probably 15 different kinds in the last two weeks. It's on the expensive side, but if it makes me healthier and keeps me off the pop then I think it's worth it. The little bottled water drink mixes taste better with it too. i'm not really experiencing caffiene withdrawal which is great. I'm not cutting it completely out, I'm just turning it into a treat instead of a main course.

Book L*st

I did go to the library this morning and this is what I brought home:

1. Wendy Knits by Wendy D. Johnson
I really like reading her knitting blog
2. iwoz by Steve Wozniak
i heart apple and his autobiography is really good so far
3. KISS and Make-Up by Gene Simmons
Huge fan. love the music, love his persona, admire his business sense
4. Kaleidoscope by Suzanne Simanaitis
this book is really artsy and has a lot of things in it that will jump start my creativity
5. Knitting loves Crochet by Candy Jensen
i love her crochet books and i love the idea of taking the best of both worlds
6. Everyday Pasta - Giada de Laurentiis
i love watching her show and i love pasta and maybe someday I will learn to cook.

I think this goes to show that I will read just about anything. I finished KISS and Make-up already. I am working on the others. I like variety, so I usually have a few started at the same time.

My WEBS order arrived today. It came in the tiniest box, so I almost thought that they didn't ship it all together. I opened it up though and it was all there! The vickie Howell yarn that i purchased from her Love collection is so soft and slick. The Andi and Blane colorway is more of a coral pink then I thought it would be, but it is still really pretty. The Ennis and Jack colorway is a gray/lavender color and I think it's my favorite. My new addi hook size H was there along with my two skeins of Brown Sheep Worsted in Chianti. It really does look the color of Chianti and it is such a gorgeous deep burgundy/purple/red color. I love it. So, now that I have the yarn and the hook, I can start working on Slouchy. I just have to finish the big afghan first. I am almost done with my current skein so I am on the home stretch.

(you want to) Make a Memory

I thought the title of the lastest Bon Jovi single would be highly appropriate for today's post. June 19th baby!!! I have it on itunes pre-order...I heard them play this song on CMT and I was totally thrilled. It just stuck with me. It could possibly be a new theme song for me.

Today was J #1's last day at work. He was our G/L and he taught me probably more about accounting and finance then I've learned in accounting school. He is a huge baseball fanatic too so we would talk baseball a lot which is good cause I don't have a lot of friends that like baseball.

I got one row done on the afghan today. My right shoulder has a lot of psychic pain it or something cause it is just plain sore and crocheting irritates it because I can't crochet left handed at all. I have tried and it just doesn't work. I talked to my mommy tonight too, she is going to help me with my upcoming crochet projects when I go out there. I am going to do the Slouchy Purse and Lime and Violet's episode this week reminded me that I need to get around to making the Babette Blanket. It's so simple but I don't know what yarn I want to use, because I've donated most of my yarn scraps to knitting charities and I don't want to make it out of Red Heart, because that's what I had to use for A-dolly's afghan so that it would be washable and hold up to a toddler dragging it around everywhere.

I am done with finals. YAY!!! I am so tired of schoolwork. it will be nice to have a short break. I am taking two online classes this semester so I won't have to physically attend class which will work well for me.

I might go to the library tomorrow for kicks. It's free--that's the best part and they have lots of wonderful books there.

happy birthday daisy!! my little baby dog turns the big 2 today. Time flies by.

What a week.

I have survived 2 out of 3 finals this week. Final 3 is tomorrow night and it's the hardest one to study for because it is pretty broad, it is over a couple of cases.

My aunt D's yorkie Molly was mauled by two neighbor dogs Tuesday afternoon. My uncle was able to rush her to the emergency vet hospital and she is in the equivalent of doggie ICU right now. She has a leg injury that isn't as bad as they thought at first, but she has a punctured lung and stitches from nose to tail practically. She had surgery this morning and is now in an oxygen tent. She is on pain medication so she is not suffering. my aunt and my cousin visited her this afternoon and she moved her head when she heard their voices. My uncle called the sheriff after the accident and the owner of the dogs has agreed to pay for all of Molly's hospital expenses. Little Molly is quite the fighter. It breaks my heart though, because she is three months older than my yorkie Haley and their dog mothers are sisters.

Closing week sucked at work. People transitioning jobs slows down the process and our supervisor is sick with a bad cough and congestion and her 17 year old cat died Tuesday morning so it has been a rough week.

I gave in and drank a butload of Mountain Dew today. My head was so congested and mountain dew and tylenol were the only things that would make it quit. I am still only drinking 1/8th of the pop that I used to so I consider that to be a success.

On the upside, I will have much more time for Ugly Betty and crochet after my final tomorrow is done. I would really like to finish A-dolly's afghan before her birthday. I am impatiently waiting for my yarn order from WEBS. I just ordered this past Friday, so it's not late or anything, I just want to try out the Slouchy Purse.

favorite song of the day: Signal Fire by Snow Patrol from the Spidey 3 soundtrack
