Blogger's Silent Poetry Reading

This is the 3rd annual Blogger's Silent Poetry Reading and I think it's the first time I have participated, although poetry is always in my heart every day. I present to you, a link to one of my all time favorite poems, "One Art" by Elizabeth Bishop. The first and final stanzas are my favorite.

I also like "Hope is the thing with feathers" by Emily Dickinson. Her poetry never ceases to inspire me or comfort me.

This is another poem I can practically recite by memory, "The Lake Isle of Innisfree" by W.B. Yeats. I like to imagine that I am visiting when ever I am having a difficult day.

One last poem, in honor of forthcoming Valentine's Day, "somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond" by e.e. cummings

Close your eyes, imagine and enjoy my little silent poetry reading.
